FAQ - Frequently  Asked Questions

QUESTIONS ORGANIZED INTO SECTIONS
  • What services do you offer?

I help brands bring bold ideas to life through creative direction, product & footwear design, trend forecasting, storytelling, and hands-on concept development — from idea to market-ready product.

Who do you typically work with?

I partner with established brands, startups, investors, creative teams, and entrepreneurs — anyone looking to create products that are innovative, purposeful, and culturally relevant.

  • What inspires your designs outside of work?

Nature is a big one — I’m always noticing textures, colors, and forms on hikes or at the beach. I also find inspiration in old tools, vintage gear, and the way everyday objects are designed to solve problems with effortless simplicity.

    Sneakers or boots?

Depends on the day! Sneakers for brainstorming and moving fast; boots when I want to feel grounded and ready for anything. I’ve always been inspired by the intersection of streetwear and real performance — sneaker culture pushes me to think about motion and style, while boots remind me to stay grounded and prepared for whatever comes my way.

  • How does your design approach support human performance?

Every product I design starts with the end-user in mind — how it feels, functions, and supports their movement or activity. Whether it’s a hiking boot, an athletic shoe, or a lifestyle product, I focus on ergonomics, durability, and emotional connection to help people perform their best while enjoying the experience.

Why is human performance important in
    product design?

Products that enable people to move better, feel more confident, and stay comfortable ultimately create stronger brand loyalty and stand out in the market. Designing for human performance ensures that the product isn’t just beautiful — it actually improves someone’s day-to-day life.

  • Do you help with market research or testing?

Yes — I can provide insights into consumer trends, competitive analysis, and positioning to help you make informed decisions.

I have an idea but no experience in product development — can you help?

Absolutely. I guide founders through the process: validating your idea, defining your audience, designing the product, and preparing for production.

  • We already have an internal team — how can you add value?

Many brands bring me in to inject fresh thinking, lead creative workshops, identify trends, and execute specialized design work. I integrate seamlessly into your team and workflows.

Do you work under NDA and follow our internal processes?

Yes. Confidentiality and flexibility are standard — I adapt to your systems and respect your IP.

  • How does the process work?

Every project starts with an open discussion about your goals. Together, we define the scope of work and design brief, explore creative concepts, iterate based on your input, and finalize assets to smoothly transition into your final deliverables.

    Do you manage production too?

I focus on design and development but can recommend trusted production partners, and I’m happy to support you through hand-off and sampling if needed.

  • Where are you based? Do you work remotely?

I’m based in Boston but work with clients across the U.S. and globally — both remotely and in-person when appropriate.

    How are your services priced?

We’ve included a rates section to help answer common questions about how projects are priced.
Projects can be scoped as fixed-fee, hourly consulting, or retainer-based engagements — Tailored to your needs, timeline, and level of involvement.
  • Do you design only footwear?

While footwear is my specialty, I also design accessories, soft goods, lifestyle and physical therapy products where creativity and consumer insight matter.
